Most were never published and are now available for the first time through the<a href=\"http:\/\/images.google.com\/hosted\/life\" target=\"_blank\"> joint work of LIFE and Google<\/a>. The photos can easily be searched by keywords, like you\u2019d expect from Google. The first keyword I\u2019ve googled was <a href=\"http:\/\/images.google.com\/images?q=jazz&amp;q=source%3Alife\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cJazz\u201d<\/a>, and I immediately found treasures like <a href=\"http:\/\/images.google.com\/hosted\/life\/l?imgurl=dc970c30ab69c88c&amp;q=jazz+source:life&amp;usg=__eU7BjzKYBWBt0lrtiFTGunsDNxs=&amp;prev=\/images%3Fq%3Djazz%2Bsource:life%26start%3D180%26ndsp%3D20%26hl%3Dde%26sa%3DN\" target=\"_blank\">Percy Heath<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/images.google.com\/hosted\/life\/l?imgurl=01a4d05bc2c28cc9&amp;q=jazz+source:life&amp;usg=__JPLivB_sqk8FFCb-ARtn-4NOjUU=&amp;prev=\/images%3Fq%3Djazz%2Bsource:life%26start%3D100%26ndsp%3D20%26hl%3Dde%26sa%3DN\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Chambers in colour<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I really love old photos, so I&#8217;m quite happy that Google and the LIFE magazine have published millions of photos of the LIFE magazine archive.
